Karen Cheng

 Karen Cheng is a Network Engineer who holds Cisco qualified certifications in networking and voice.   She has over 8 years’ experience in Information Technology and has worked in various companies spanning from government to private industry.  At Bridge Point, Karen has the responsibility for network solution designs, implementation and maintaining network infrastructure.

• Designing and implementation of converged IP networks for the integration of data/voice/video.
• Cisco Collaboration suite of solutions including uUnified Communications Manager 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Cisco Unity & Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence, Cisco Attendant Consoles and ARC Enterprise Consoles, UCCX and UCCE
• Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco ASA and PIX and Cisco Wireless
• Review existing network infrastructures (LAN/WAN/UC) and recommending solutions based on network, and cost optimisation techniques in line with industry best practices.
• Diagnosis and resolution of level two and three infrastructure problems experienced by customers

Karen’s experience as a Voice Network Engineer focused on Cisco voice related infrastructure in both design and implementation involved:

• Implementation of a voice solution to cater for both satellite sites as well as a company with a large number of contact centre agents
• Implementation of Cisco Meeting Place and Cisco Presence
• Migrate from Avaya infrastructure to Cisco
• Develop complex contact centre scripts to cater for failover, high volume calls, outbound dialler and more.
