Is BYO technology a security risk?

In the past it was just not even considered that staff would bring in their own computers to work. These days staff take a number of devices with them to the office from iPhones to iPads. The boss has no control over what is in their staffs laptops or iPads. The content may violate office policy or privacy regulations due to the type of files held. The battle has been lost but creates grave security risks for companies, according to Bridge Point Communications’ director, Tim Smith.
