Overview
This course introduces the principles required in completing an IT based audit within an organisation. This includes the planning, design and practical tips on the completion of an audit.
Auditing is an essential element of demonstrating conformance to standards and is a mandatory activity that must be completed within organisations that achieve AS 7799 Certification.
The objective of the course is to provide sufficient basic skills to enable the individual to perform occasional audits of IT systems within their organisation.
Participants are provided with a copy of all course materials and background materials including useful web sites and other references.
Target Audience
This course is recommended for people who have a need to understand the requirements for completing or interpreting IT Audits within their organisations. These can include individuals in both technical and managerial roles with information security responsibilities.
